Welcome to Aeries Online Enrollment
Excelsior Charter Schools
Pre-Enrollment for the 2025-2026 School Year
is now Open!
*Prior to submitting an enrollment application for the 2024-25 or 2025-26 school year, please read the below
Enrollments are completed in 3 Steps.
Step 1:
Online Application-Completed by Parent/Guardian
Complete the online application for your 7th -12th grade student. This should take approximately 20-30 minutes. You will need to upload your student's birth certificate and updated immunizations to the application. Please make sure you have these documents available. Upon submission, the application is electronically sent to our registrars at our Central office for processing. If you are unable to upload your documents to the application, you may email them to enrollment@excelsior.com, or bring them into the school site you are seeking enrollment.
**Students who qualify under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and Foster Students have the right to immediate enrollment without delay if they are unable to provide immunization records or birth certificate. Students receiving Special Education Services are exempt from providing immunization records. Court orders must be provided (as needed) regarding changes in custody (legal or physical), educational rights, or restricted contact with the student.
**California law, as outlined in the California Health and Safety Code Sections 120325-120375, requires children to be fully immunized before entering certain facilities, including school. Students who do not have up-to-date immunizations can proceed with enrollment, however, will not be permitted to come to campus. Students can opt to enroll with incomplete immunizations and will be enrolled into all Independent Study courses.
Step 2:
Application Confirmation- Completed by Central Office Registrars
You will receive a confirmation email from our records department confirming your application is complete, has been processed and will include important information regarding the final step of enrollment (Step 3). Please check your junk or spam email to ensure you do not miss this important information.
If your application was submitted and is missing information, you will receive a phone call from our registrars notifying you of any information or documents needed. You will also receive a follow-up email which outlines the information missing and instructions detailing how to resubmit the completed application as applicable.
Step 3:
Final Step to ensure that your student is fully prepared to successfully begin the 2025/26 school year:
- Priority Registration for classes- Your student’s 24/25 class schedule will be built during the registration window starting May 19th, 2025 and ending on May 30th, 2025. Your school site will contact you to determine your student’s elective preferences to build a complete schedule. Incoming 10th, 11th and 12th grade students will need to bring in a copy of their unofficial transcripts to the school site to participate in priority registration in order to ensure proper course placement. For more information regarding priority registration, please see below. If your student enrolls after May 30th, your student will not participate in Priority registration, but will receive their course schedule during orientation in August prior to school starting.
- Login to your Aeries Parent Portal- Excelsior utilizes Aeries as our student information system. This will serve as your hub to access your student information, grades, schedule, attendance and much more throughout the 2025/26 school year! You will automatically receive an email through Aeries which contains a link to register for an account.
- Login to your Parent Square Account- Excelsior utilizes Parent Square as our primary communication system to send out all calls/emails/texts. Parents can customize which method to receive these messages (phone, email, text). You will automatically receive an email through Aeries which contains a link to register for an account.
- Orientation- You will be notified starting in June of the orientation dates for your student. Orientation will occur prior to the 1st day of school and will provide your student the additional supplies such as their Chromebook as well as an opportunity to meet their teachers and staff.

Priority Registration for classes:
Excelsior strives to provide a flexible and accommodating learning environment for all students. However, it's important to understand that on-campus classes are subject to availability. Enrollment into these classes can be limited due to factors such as classroom size, and course demand.
During priority registration, once an on-campus class reaches its maximum capacity, we implement a waitlist for subsequent enrollments. Priority registration is determined based on each student’s enrollment date to ensure that students have an equitable chance to secure a spot in their desired on-campus course(s).
In the event that a student does not secure a spot in an on-campus class, the student will be enrolled into the independent study course, supported by a credentialed teacher and dedicated Independent Study teacher. Additionally, these students will be enrolled into a zoom class (for Math and English), allowing them to continue their education with structured support. Furthermore, if a student is unable to enroll into their desired on-campus class, they will automatically be placed on a waitlist for that class(es). This waitlist allows them to be moved into the class should a spot become available.
Should a spot become available for the student's desired on-campus class, the parent/guardian will receive a phone call from the school to notify them of the availability and confirm whether they would like to proceed with enrollment into the on-campus class. Parents/guardians will have 48 hours to respond to this confirmation. Once confirmed, the parent/guardian will receive a start date, and the student's new schedule will be provided. All relevant information including access to the new course in Canvas which includes their new teacher's contact information and course syllabus and the student and parent/guardian Aeries portal will be updated within 24 hours of the student's start date. Your student's grade from their prior course will also be transferred into the new on-campus course gradebook.
It is important to note that moving students from the waitlist into on-campus classes is an ongoing process throughout the year. However, transfers into on-campus classes will not occur within the last two weeks of the quarter or semester.
If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process or the documents needed, please contact our registrars at (760) 245-4262 select option 4 for the District Office, then option 2 for the Records department or email enrollment@excelsior.com.
